Hey everyone!

First off, congrats are in order. Way to go Trent!!!! Chicago huh? I will be interested how that spanish turns out with the thick italian mafia accent! But Im one to talk. The Yucateco spanish accent down here is the reckneck equivalent in english. I wont lie, if I could choose one place to serve in the states Chicago would be up there just because of the food. I hear its amazing... Also to Micheal Mazur. I realize he probably doesnt get this email, but thats awesome he is coming on down to Mexico. He is going to the hottet part, where its rumored that the soles of your shoes melt on the street. Should be fun.

This week was full of unexpected blessings. I suppose no blessings should be expected, but you get what I mean. The biggest one was when we got a phone call from the RM in our branch, and he told us that he had a refrence of gold for us on friday at 3 at his grandmas house. He specifically said "His name is Roberto" which I thought was weird because his cousin that has bee coming to church forever, but just never wanted to get baptized is named Roberto, and I just though he was talking about him. This will make more sense in a sec. So we go on Friday at 3, and there is his cousin Roberto. We asked if he wanted to talk for a few minutes and he agreed. He told us that as long as he has known the missionaries they have wanted to teach him and baptize him, but he has never wanted to. But he said now he feels like its something he wants to do and he accepted to be baptized. We left very happy, thinking that his cousin Jose had talked to him and persuaded him to talk to us. But when we showed up to church two days later, there was Jose with someone else sitting next to him. He introduced us and said "This is Roberto". We talk to him for just a sec and he told us how much he wants to change and this is something he has been searching for for a while. Wait a tick. Are you telling me that there are now two robertos running around this town that both want to get baptized? Yup. And are you telling me that they both have been to church and have a testimony? Yup.

Did you just see what happened right there? Its called "make Elder Kitterman jump for joy like he just met the real Batman". Im telling you, it doesnt get better than the mish. We have a baptism this saturday. Her name is Thomasa, and she is a firecracker. She is the woman I told you guys about a week or so ago that has a sickness that affects her nerves and bodily control. She is so excited to get baptized and goes around telling everyone! Its fantastic. We also have some extremely solid baptisms lined up for the following weeks as well.

Things seem as if they couldnt get any better. But then they do. Ive lived tough parts of the mission, but right now makes those times soooo worth it. It goes to show that our testimony really does come AFTER the trial of our faith, and not a second before. All it takes is faith ad trust, and it will be so worth it.

Well here are some of the photos of the baptism we had two weeks ago. Sorry it took so long for me to send them. One is of us, him and his friend that baptized him, and the two other elders in our district, and the other is of us and him the next day after his confirmation. Have a great week everyone!

Love,

Elder Kitterman
