Aloha! (Something exotic to spice things up...)

This week was awesome! But first I have some shoutouts to do...

Happy one year to my boy alllll the way out there in Japan Land! Way to go Dahlin...Also Nicks is coming up quick! Next week i think..

Congrats to Em for getting into BYU Provo! Im stoked for you!

Shout out to Kyle, not for any particular reason other than he needs to freaking write me!

And last but not least...Im a big boy now! 6 months is gone...that was way fast.

Well some people were asking about that family of the boy who was hit a few weeks ago, so i will start off with that. We baptized his grandma and his sister this past saturday.l It was way sweet. His sisters name is Kelly and she wanted me to baptize her, so that meant my comp had to baptize the 71 year old woman. We had to put a chair in the font and have her sit on it sideways and dip her back. Meanwhile, I baptized kelly right after, and had seen a baptism a week earlier of a little girl, and the elder that did it practically threw her down and yanked her back up...it was sweet. so i decided to do it. Dont worry, i asked kelly first if she wanted me to dunk her slow, normal, or fast. she said fast thinking it would be funner, but she had no idea...I did it with some force and she came up and let out this long "Whoaaaaaa" At least now she will never forget it...

Lenin (the boy who was hit) Told us right after that that he wanted to get baptized next week instead of waiting till the 12th of march like we had planned. He already has 3 times at church, so me and my comp just looked at eachother and said "uhhhhh....yeah?" that was pretty dope. His Mom and her best friend Silvia, are stil planning to get baptized the 12th of march though. Changes are next week, and if they change me im gonna go eminem and "just loose it" if they change me cause i worked my butt off to get them to the font. But its all good, as long as they get baptized is the important part, but i would still really like to be here. Otherthan that we have another guy named jaime who is supposed to be getting married this next week, and once that happens it means he will be all set for his baptisms. His girlfriend is a less active that we have been slowly reactivating. He is pretty axecited about it.

President a few weeks ago told us we can anywhere we anted in Cancun on Pdays (just not the hotel zone or beaches of course). So I decided that i wanted to go look for a better bag at the mall in central that i had heard about. We have a plaza in our area that is a branch off type thing from this larger mall, so i just thought it would be a bigger version of that. No way jose. This place was legit. I thought 6 months as a missionary would have cured my slight shopping addiction that I inherited from Mom, but nope. Not only was it massize, but it had some of the best looking shops. It even had a guess store, but i wouldnt let myself go in...(it was heartbreaking mom...) But no luck on finding a better bag. If your wondering why i was looking for a new bag, its cause the one i have is way to big for everyday use and it gets freaking hot carrying it around all day. Anyways, for future reference, start saving your money now mom and sierra, that place is off the chain. I could also see actual water for the first time on one of the balconys there so i took a pic and included it. There is also a pic of the hotels off in the distance at night taken from my apartment building roof. Another is one of me in my new hammock that i tried sending like three weeks ago, but never went.

Some others were asking about my area and food and what not. I now know my area extremely weel, and love it. Its pretty much pure houses and palabas (shacks) which makes finding and teaching super easy. they people that live in this part of town are a bit more humble than those in other parts. The food is pretty good. Real mexican food is not the same as the amazing stuff you buy back home. I usually eat Caldo de Pollo, which is boiled flavorless chicken in very fatty/watery soup with chunks of potatos and carrots, or spagetti. Yes thats right, the italian pasta. Its not very good pasta though....for some strange reason the mexicans here love it.

This past week i ran into a few peole who asked me how i liked cancun since i wasnt from here. i told them how much i loved it, but they then began telling me how bad it was and how much corruption and crime and what not. I told them that there were good people here, and thats why i was here. i felt like Batman when he said he could save Gotham...It was awesome.

Well Im sure i forgot some stuff, but thats all i can think of for now. Everyone have a great week. Love you

Love, Elder Kitterman
