¡Feliz Dia de Valentino!

Who would of thought that Valentines day wouldnt actually be all that bad when you dont have 10,000 roses to deliver? huh....

So sorry about the mishap last week. I had no idea it didnt send. But now you get two on the same day.  Anyways, this week was pretty boring compared to the last couple of weeks. We walked alot since niether of us realy had any money (my feet are killing me) and it rained, a lot!

One of the nights it rained so bad we got caught under a taco stand cover for like 30 minutes, we had just come out of a lesson so we werent wet yet, and if we had tried to walk it it we would have been completely soaked within the minute, so we waited it out till it let up and then made a break for the apartment which was only a few blocks away. We grabbed some jackets and then went back to work. Ironically we had set aside that next 2 hours to find new people. Oh the joys of knocking doors in the pouring rain. You would think people would let us in because its raining, but nope. Luckily its cancun so it wasnt very cold at all. The streets were all rivers though, since the storm drainage system here sucks, and the many dirt roads were the worst because the earth here is pure rock.

So I got a package last week, but it wasnt the package with the stuff I asked for. it was a valentines day package! There was no card and didnt say on the box who it was from, cause it got sent from Dearelder, but my guess it was you mom, so thank you. If it wasnt mom, then thank you to whoever it was. I would love to know, but if i have secret admirer, well thats just peachy. see you in 18 months =)

We have zone conference this wednesday, so thats means i should be getting the other package then. If not then hopefully soon. I way excited for the stuff I asked for. Especially those superfeet insoles. We are on mostly dirt raods and its all rough terrain, even for walking. you should see what some of these people do with these cars on theese roads. Its an art form.

These week I ate pigs feet. They werent bad, but just pure fat. Ive also had cow stomach a couple of times now. Thats not that great. Its mostly fat also. These people just really like their fat...

So Josefina and Keli (Grandma and sister of Lenin, who got in the accident last week) were scheduled to get baptized this upcoming saturday, but they missed last week in church due to the accident the night before. Elder Brockbank and I felt that they were ready regardless for this saturday. If you dont know, the rule is they have to go to church three times before they can get baptized. Its pretty much the whole reason why this mission doesnt baptise close to every week. Anyways, we called our district leader and he said no without even hearing us out. We were pissed. This lady knows more about the bible than anyone i have ever met, and she understands and already knows every gospel principle we try and teach here. All she ever talks about is how excited she is for her baptism, and Keli is the same way. I had it out with one of my zone leaders on the phone. Usually i have no problems with authority, but i was at the end of my rope with this one. They are put in those leadership positions to excerise judgements in these types of situations, but instead they wouldnt even listen. I knew it wouldnt do any good, but my dear mother taught me that when all else fails, complain. So thats what i did. I feel better now.

Well thanks for tuning in to another week in the life of a Cancun Elder. Till next time! Much Love.

Love, Elder Kitterman
