Hey everybody

 

So i heard Davids surgery got post-poned... that must be frustrating. I am anxious to hear how it goes so keep me posted! Also, I forgot to give Sierra her birthday shout -out. y i know, im a horrible brother. But Happy Birthday! I hope it was a good one. now go and get married so i can have my 50 dollars.

 

So not a lot happened this, but I will see what I can muster up. We have an investigator who me and Elder Juarez found. She didnt seem very interested but said she wanted to go to church to see what it was life. But the first week she had a family emergency, then the next week she was sick, then the week after she was out of town, and she went out of town again for the week after that. By this time we gave up on her cause we have a lot to do, but se finally came, and when we talked with her after, she said she felt she needed to be baptized. So that was pretty cool. we are finishing up all the lessons with her and focusing on her coming to church the next 2 weeks. Also, Marisol, the mother of the kid that was in the accident a few weeks back, finally accepted the fact that she needed to be baptized again. If I havent explained that, she was baptized one year ago by full emersion and was just not accepting the whole priesthood authroity thing. it was driving us nuts. anyways we talked with her friend who we are also teaching and she told us about this guy one year ago who was all over the news down here, who claimed himself to be a prophet of god. Apparently he got a lot of followers behing him and started baptizing the crap out of people proclaiming he had the authority to do it. Talk about missionary work killer...

 

Anyways we come to find out this was the guy that baptized our investigator. ugh but with a lot of patience and a lot of scripture and testifying, she finally accepted it. But now the problem is she wants to wait till her birthday in freaking july! I want to slap this women!

 

We finally found our first investigator who i can speak english good enough so that we can teach him in english. Its actually easier now to teach in spanish, but he wants us to teach him is english. He is a straight up gangster, and surprisingly its always those kind of guys that can speak english. Half his head his smashed in, and i think the next time we go and teach him i going to ask him why...so look for that next week...
