Zack's Letter December 27, 2010

Hey everyone, hope you had a great Christmas!

Mine was pretty quiet, but I think thats what I needed! The package should be here next Monday, or at least thats what my ZL´s told me. I want to know what everyone got for Christmas! I got two ties from a family in our ward who loves us. They´re pretty sweet.

So last letter in 2010! Happy New Year! Our area might change this upcoming week, so we will see how that goes. Our area is huge, and since we are walking, I wouldnt mind it a tad bit smaller....
So last Tuesday, our apartment flooded. We have a washing machine, which is like the gift of life around here, but we have to fill it with water ourselves with a hose from outside. Well my comp thought i turned off the water and i though he turned it off. 15 minutes later, we were laughing our butts off sweeping water out the front door. there was a lot. It wasnt a huge deal because all the house here are tile because of the heat.

Last Wednesday, a member family took us to the mall type thing in our area to eat at the food court. I had only been in there once before but didnt know what there was to eat. There is a McDonalds, Buger King, Dominos, 2 chinese places, a barbque and the rest are mexican. I cant imaine any of those non mexican places would be as good as the states, but none the less my mouth started watering. But just my luck, the family wanted to eat at one of the mexican places... oh well

We didnt have such a great week numbers wise this past week. when my and elder Juarez started talking to me, he confessed most of his old companions were the ones that organized and planned out the teaching. He is a great teacher and a great missionary all around. But im his first greenie and he felt a little lost. I was shocked, but we worked it all out and I think our teaching anf finding methods are going to be a lot more effective.
We had a baptism on saturday! His name is David and he is 23 and might serve a mission in a year! It went really well, except my companion came up with the program and forgot to mention to me that I was supposed to speak on the Atonement for 8-10 minutes right after the baptism. So I pretty much winged it and it turned out alright. He just laughed when they read out the program and called my name.

So David Drapers heart surgery is next month? I will definetly be praying for him and let me know asap how everything goes.
Mom, I couldnt find your email this week. Your second was here, the short one about the package, but i didnt see the main one. Im going to look a little hard but maybe it didnt send. Dont freak out, just send a good one next week.

I love you and hope you have a great new year!

Love, Elder Kitterman
